Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim.  In the name of God, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.  Al-salam 'alaykum.  May all the peace and blessings of God be upon us all.  My love you (anbu), my dearest brothers and sisters.

1. Introduction - to the letter written on 4/14/02

Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim. In the name of God, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate. Al-salam 'alaykum. May all the peace and blessings of God be upon us all.

Thank you for your letter, and your request,

"Did you know the Bawa? What can you tell me of him?"

This child met His Holiness in 1975 and has been learning to live at His Divine Feet every since.

2. What Has Been Learned Living At The Divine Feet of His Holiness

What has been learned
living at the feet of His Holiness is that
you are my life and I am your life,
that we share the One life of God within all of us,
that came out of the One God within all of us,
to understand the One God within all of us,
by experiencing the contrast between the two lives within all of us,
that God has personally placed within each of us,
the life of "separation from" God
and the life of "oneness with" God.

What has been learned is that you are my life and I am your life, that in truth we are One, as in truth Man and God are One, and what separates me from you and you from me is what separates me from God and you from God.

In this way, the gift of each other, of you to me and of me to you, is the gift to join with God within each of us to separate from each of us what separates each of us from each other, and from God within us, realizing that only God within each of us can do this divine work within each of us.

In this way, our work is to know His work, which is all work, and to join with Him within each of us with this understanding, allowing Him to finish within each of us what He has started within each of us, which is to reveal Himself within each of us, to reveal Himself within Himself within each of us, and He will naturally do this divine work within each of us, if we but trust Him to do it, if we but trust in Him as "one with" us, and stop trusting in us as "separate from" Him, and in us as "separate from" each other.

My love you (anbu), my dearest loving brother or sister. You are a good child, and you have asked a good question, a question that we must all get God within each of us to answer, as this child has done.

May we both reflect on these beautiful words of wisdom from the life and teaching of our Father, Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him), the gift of God for our age, to the Children of God for our age, which is who we are.

Your loving brother from within the heart of God for this age, from within the heart of Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be please with Him).

My love you (anbu) - Shaikh Muhaiyaddeen (Louie Beutler).

3.  Introduction - to the letter written on 4/15/02

Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim.  In the name of God, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.  Al-salam 'alaykum.  My dearest loving brother or sister.  May all the peace and blessings of God be upon us all.  My love you.

Thank you again for asking about Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him), the gift of God for our age.  The comments that we last shared were very helpful to me, and perhaps to many of our brothers and sisters at the Fellowship, who are currently going through many things in their lives, some of which were explained in the recent letter by our dear brother Asma'el Muhaiyaddeen (Rick Hacket).

4.  On Becoming The Public Or Common Wealth of God

We become the Common Wealth of God
by rejecting our personal or private life and wealth
as being the life and property of hell within us,
of the life of "separation from" God within us,
and by accepting the life and teaching of our Father,
Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen, within us
(may God be pleased with Him),
as the true life and property of our life,
as being the life and property of God within us,
of the life of "oneness with" God within us.

In response to your new question,

"Is it your practice to publicly respond to a personal query?
I am not sure why you blanket mailed your response to so many others",

The following explanation is lovingly provided from my heart to your heart.

Yes, it is the practice of this child to publicly respond to personal query, because it seems to be the only way to properly live, and to communicate with others, without accumulating more karma.

For Bawa teaches us that,

"Karma accumulates when you do anything.  The only way for karma not to
accumulate is for God to do it."

(For a beautiful explanation of karma by His Holiness, please read "Golden Words number 222", on page 72, in the book, "The Golden Words of a Sufi Shaikh".  For example, in 222 Bawa teaches us, "Karma is thought, the veil of thought which obscures wisdom just as it covered our embryonic form.")

Please forgive this child if this way of acting has offended you in any way, that is certainly not the intention, rather the intention is to live at the feet of His Holiness, and to use the life and teaching of His Holiness to protect you from me, and me from you.

Through experience this child has learned that one of the red flags that wisdom immediately waves in front of me when I am getting into a dangerous situation concerns this whole realm of "personal" or "private" versus "non-personal" or "public".

As we shared in our last letter,

"What has been learned is that you are my life and I am your life, that in
truth we are One, as in truth Man and God are One, and what separates
me from you and you from me is what separates me from God and you
          from God."

If this is to be true in our life, true between you and me, this oneness of our lives, then the same must be true for us and all of our brothers and sisters, and for all life that has been born with us, that they are all us and we are all them.

5.  The Journey of The One Child of God Within The One God Within Us

In truth our journey is the journey of God within God within us,
so understanding can occur,
the journey of the One Child of God within the One God within us,
so the state of "oneness with" God, but without an understanding of that state,
can become the state of "oneness with" God, but with an understanding of that state,
by first growing and becoming through ignorance
the School of Contrasts within us known as the world,
and by growing and becoming through ignorance
the life of "separation from" God within us known as "you & I",
and then through wisdom harvesting from that false life and illusory world within us
the true life of "oneness with" God within us known as True Man,
and the true world within us known as the Kingdom of God,
returning the One Child of God within us to the One God within us,
as the understanding of God within God within us.

In this way, we are all One, in truth the One Child of God for this age, we are the One life of God within all of us, that has come to this world from the One God within all of us to understand who we already are, and having understood who we already are, become again One with God, like the rain falling back into the ocean, from which it has come, again becoming the ocean, no longer the rain, no longer separate from the ocean.

There is nothing of us that belongs to us, it all belongs to God, and whatever part of it that we claim for ourselves as "personal" or "private", especially the idea of our own life as "separate from" any other life, is that part of what belongs to God that we have used to separate us from God, from each other, and from the Creation of God that God has personally placed within each of us.

This is why His Holiness teaches us that our personal heaven, which is the idea of "us", as "separate from" each other, going to heaven, is really God's public hell, which in maturity are the 7 hells within us, and our public hell, which is us trying to live in unity with each other while still in the state of "separation from" each other, is really God's personal heaven, which are the 7 heavens within us, which in maturity is the 8th heaven or firdaus within us, the Kingdom of God within us, and within that the Kingdom of True Man within us, which is the Oneness of True Man and God within us, which is God.

6.  Only God Can Return To God, Not What Has Separated From God

Only what has come from God can return to God,
only what has come to this earth world, this School of Contrasts from God,
which is the ray of light known as the soul of God,
can leave this earth world, and return to God,
everything else on this earth world is what has separated from God,
when the light of God, the resplendence of God, emerged out of the effulgence of God,
everything else is what has grown and taken form on this earth world,
in order to serve God's intention, and can never leave this earth world,
but only remain here in an endless cycle of rebirth,
allowing God to complete what He started here, within each of us,
which is to reveal God to God, so understanding can occur,
which is to provide a contrast between God and what has separated from God,
so the soul within each of us can understand who it already is and return to God.

My love you my dearest child, what we have shared is not easy to apply in the world, but from the learning of this child living at the feet of His Holiness, there is no other way.

Only God can return to God, and this is not a big deal once we realize, understand, accept, and join with the truth of our life, that God is within us, and as His Holiness teaches us, on page 141 in the beautiful book, "Islam & World Peace", that,

"Our entire life and everything that happens to us is conducted by Allah,
not by us.  He is the One who carries out everything.  He is responsible for
          the cause and the effect."

(more to come)
